Sony Vaio Waterproof?

Last night I really shocked because my Sony Vaio VGN-TZ11XN accidentally filled by water because the roof of our house (housing for staff) in Yahukimo is leak. I leave the Vaio on while I watched TV not far from the computer. Ali, with fast reaction then take the computer to safe place, and then I follwed up by release the battery without shutting down procedure.

Then I use my t-shirt that I wear to clean water outside the computer. Then I leave computer for one night to see if the water inside of the computer is already dry. The result? I can write this entry using this computer.
So, when you accidentally pu a galss of coffee of water on your non-waterproof computer or gadget, try this:

  1. Immediately release all power source, like AC adapter or battery. Never think that you should take shutdown procedure

  2. Dry it using clean towel or tissue.

  3. Leave it for a little time (for me it's about one night) to make sure there is no water in circuit. Put it under the light bulb with high power to make all water gone. My colleague even put his cellular phone into the bag full of rice. He said that rice can make the gadget dry. It's made me think twice before eat rice because afraid rice can make my brain dry :)
Because it's White Monday, I'll continue my work.

wakakakakakkk "sadis" belajar writing nih yee...
kayak ny hoki air ny blom sampe k circuit board. klo sampe masuk pasti uda arus pendek tuh, IC ny gosong.
Btw gw baru denger klo nasi bisa nyerap uap air. nice info. Biasa ny buat gadget yg kena air suka d jemur ato d tiup hair dryer.
