How to Upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 8 using Windows Upgrade Offer

When I bought Samsung Series 9, I read on the banner in the computer store, that I can upgrade Window 8 for just USD 14.99. I decided to register at Windows Upgrade Offer and then register. Today I got email from them that I can upgrade my Windows. They gave me promotional code, so I can get discount when buy the Windows 8 upgrade.

I downloaded Windows8-UpgradeAssistant.exe and then follow step by step intruction in it to grab original copy of Windows 8. First, I checked the compatibility of my Windows 7.



Then I got compatibility test result. It's written that "18 of your apps and devices are compatible" and "9 items for you to review".



Upgrade software asked me what to keep. "Choose what you want to keep and you'll see which editions of Window 8 will work best for you". Keep "Windows settings, personal files, and apps", "Just personal files", and "Nothing"



Then I got buy upgrade message.



I inserted billing address details.



I reviewed my order. I choosed to buy the Windows 8 DVD for backup.



I can pay Windows 8 with credit card or Paypal



On the confirm order page, I inserted the promo code to get discount, and then pay it using Paypal.



The order finished.



I'm on the process download the Windows upgrade. It's about 2 GB of size.



I just have limited connection, the download process need few hours. I'll update later when download finished.
